Blue Eyed Grass Flower Fiber Bangle

This is inspired by a nice hunk of stiff rug yarn and memories of those pretty little Blue Eyed Grass Flowers I used to pick on the farm as a lanky farmgirl.

This fiber bangle is extremely lightweight and machine washable. It's also quiet... I love that about it, and doesn't hurt your wrist if you rest it on it.

Pretty variegated blue flowers have eye-popping bright yellow centers and compete in a pretty row around this cuff.
Of course, nothing's perfect in nature, so I threw a two-petaled contender into the mix. In the US this ships via First Class Insured, as it is one of a kind. Everywhere else will have it shipped Priority Mail with a tracking number. It comes to you packaged in a sheer reusable organza bag so please be sure to use it again!

Seahorse Original Painting

A beautiful seahorse cavorts with an ethereal jellyfish in this one-of-a-kind original painting on repurposed furniture panel. Click on the picture for the listing on Etsy.com with more detailed pics.
The seahorse's fin and "mane" are a metallic copper that perfectly complement his many soft green hues framed against the azure of the ocean. Being this is made from a side panel of a cast-off dresser drawer, the dovetail at the top was perfect to suggest some choppy little waves at the water's surface. This is done in acrylics and sealed with a clear finish for durability. It is ready to be hung by a pretty royal blue satin ribbon that is double-affixed to the back.

This measures a little over 7 1/2 inches wide by 14 inches high and the wood is 1/4 of an inch thick. This ships Insured via Priority Mail with a Tracking number free of charge in the United States, and for a small fee elsewhere.

PHOENIX FLOWER necklace of Recycled Paper and Staple with beads

PHOENIX FLOWER necklace is of recycled paper and staple with beads.
I used a brass or copper heavy-duty staple I took out of a box, bent it with a cool little tool I have, mounted it with beads (the green one is made of paper), and topped it with a vintage flower button. It is accented with wooden and vintage plastic beads. All rough edges are safely and tightly turned in for happy wearing! It is on a silver box chain, 20 inches long.
It is shipped Free of Charge via First class in the US and for a small fee elsewhere via Priority Mail with a tracking number provided. "Phoenix Flower" rises from the ashes of a landfill and flies safely to you in a pretty aqua giftbox :) .

Fabric Bangle of 100% Recycled Materials

Ok, so I will be creating and publishing a tutorial on these this week... this was just too cool.

I made this out of a nice sturdy hair dye box, two plastic shopping bags, and old curtain, a dress shirt, and a ribbon :)

It's available on Etsy, click any of the pics to visit the listing.

Repurposed Vintage 80s post Earrings w bonus Upcycled Ring in pink, blue, yellow, purple, green

These vintage 80's metal circular disc earrings were a plain Royal Blue until I got hold of them :)

I used some tissue paper from some 40th BDay gifts and some Weldbond non-toxic glue and turned them into pretty stained-glassish treasures....
I used an old "bone ring" bought from a vintage store and used the same technique, installing a few salvaged beads on it for some sparkly shine. It is a larger size, like an 8 to a nine so it is good on an index finger or thumb or larger sized finger.

This jives with any pink, yellow, green, purple or blue color scheme and POPS!!! with vivid color.
This set comes giftboxed.

Please reuse the box and keep it from becoming landfill...

Tangled Up In Blue Bangle of recycled materials with ribbon Crochet

This blue-tiful bangle is made of 90% recycled materials. The inital base is a piece of recycled aluminum foil, washed, and then wrapped with unwanted photocopies and paper mache of old phone book and then finished with a pink piece of recycled copy paper.
I crocheted pretty blue variegated ribbon yarn around it.
It is lustrous, shiny, very lightweight, and above all, Eco-Chic :). This is a great accessory for summer; unlike heavy plastic accessories, this won't make you sweat.

Lord knows I've paid some dues gettin through,
Tangled up in blue"
